"PAID" (also "PAI'D Payments Intelligence") is operated by the entity behind the AXIS payment platform. We provide payment acceptance, settlement orchestration, compliance tooling, and related merchant services. We are a payment processor and technology platform — not a bank, lender, or custodian of your funds or your customers' funds. PAID does not hold money-transmission or banking licenses; regulated payment and identity-verification activities are performed by licensed sub-processors listed at /sub-processors.
Subject to these terms and applicable law, PAID provides:
Available rails, currencies, and features depend on your jurisdiction, risk profile, and connected providers. PAID may enable or restrict rails without prior notice when required by law, partner policy, or risk assessment.
Fees are disclosed in your dashboard, pricing page, or separate fee schedule. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, processing fees are netted from settlement amounts by the licensed settlement providers before funds reach your configured destination. You authorize PAID to instruct, and its licensed settlement partners to apply, the netting of fees, chargebacks, refunds, reserves, and adjustments against amounts owed to you.
You may not use PAID for:
PAID may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section or trigger enhanced due diligence under our AML program.
You are liable for chargebacks, ACH returns, and disputes on transactions you accept. PAID may pass through dispute costs, hold reserves, or delay settlement when risk indicators warrant. You will cooperate with evidence requests within the deadlines imposed by networks and applicable law.
Our collection and use of personal data is described in the privacy policy. You act as an independent controller for buyer data you collect outside PAID-hosted fields; you must have a lawful basis and provide appropriate notices to your customers.
PAID uses sub-processors (Render, Stripe, Plaid, Dwolla, Sardine, and others) to deliver the service. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before adding a new sub-processor that processes your merchant data, except where urgency is required for security or legal compliance.
PAID provides the service on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PAID's aggregate liability arising from these terms or the service is limited to the fees you paid to PAID in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. PAID is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data.
You will indemnify and hold PAID harmless from claims, fines, and costs arising from your breach of these terms, your products or services, your misuse of the platform, or your violation of applicable law — except to the extent caused by PAID's gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Either party may terminate for convenience with thirty (30) days' written notice. PAID may suspend or terminate immediately for risk, legal, or security reasons. Upon termination, you remain liable for outstanding chargebacks, fees, and regulatory retention obligations. Financial records are retained per our privacy policy and internal data-governance audit.
We may update these terms by publishing a new version at /terms and recording the version in our terms API (GET /v1/tos/current).
Material changes will be communicated by email or in-dashboard notice. Continued
use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated version unless
we require explicit re-acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer or data-protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
